Prof. Shen has long been engaged in the scientific research and teaching of traffic architecture. He has presided over or participated in dozens of scientific research projects (including ongoing projects), won the first prize of science and technology progress award of Sichuan Province, and published nearly 100 papers in highly ranked journals. He is the executive director of Architectural Society of China (ASC), chairman of the Underground Space Academic Committee of ASC, vice chairman of Architectural Education Branch & Planning and Design Academic Committee of Innovative Industrial Park of ASC, member of National Board of Architectural Accreditation & Teaching Guidance Committee for Architecture Major in Higher Educational Institutions. He is also an expert awarded with government's special allowance and recognized with outstanding achievements by Sichuan provincial government.In 2020, he was honoured with a title of salient teacher by Education Department of Sichuan Province.沈教授长期从事交通建筑学的科研和教学工作。主持或参与科研项目数十项（含在研项目），获四川省科技进步一等奖，在高等级期刊发表论文近百篇。现任中国建筑学会常务理事、中国建筑学会地下空间学术委员会主任委员、中国建筑学会建筑教育分支暨创新产业园规划设计学术委员会副主任委员、全国建筑学专业评审委员会委员、高等学校建筑学专业教学指导委员会委员。2020年，获四川省教育厅授予“优秀教师”称号。
